The Transmitter (Remote) takes a 9V battery and will last for 6 Months to 1 year depending on use. The Collar contains a 6V battery and will last around 2-4 weeks depending on use. The collar is 100% Waterproof,and the transmitter is Weatherproof just in case you need to use the trainer in bad weather conditions. The range is 300 yards so you never have to worry about getting a good signal in and around your training area.
